Sophomore album from Icelandic multi-instrumentalist and producer Olafur Arnalds. On And They Have Escaped The Weight Of Darkness Olafur crafts poignant pieces, often with just piano and strings that evoke great emotion and nostalgia. This is on some emotional soundtrack-to-life type shit, for those pensive, reflective moments when you just have to look back and wonder. 10 tracks, including the epic “Gleypa Okkur,” housed in gatefold sleeve. 2014 repess on Erased Tapes.
